My family and I came to the U.S. as refugees in the early 1980's with not much. But what we did have was an old TV from the Salvation Army and every weekend, I would get up in the morning and watched a Shirley Temple movie. They alway made me happy. She was so talented and will be greatly missed

As a young girl I spent my Sunday afternoons watching Shirley Temple Theatre. I looked forward to it each week. What a wonderful person Shirley was. I was so sad to hear of her passing, I watched one of her movies not more than a week ago and at age 53 I loved it as much as I did as a child. R.I.P.

I am truly sorry for your loss and our loss as well. She was truly an icon. I also watched all of her movies. I thoroughly enjoyed them and was amazed by her talent. I loved her, she was my favorite. She made me smile and laugh, but never failed to bring me to tears at every movie. God bless.

An icon of strength, determination & perseverance for me was lost today. I looked to her as a role model & lived through her movies as they were rare moments of joy in my own childhood. I wanted to be strong like her. I pray for comfort for those who cry across the globe. Thank you Mrs. Black. Xoxo
